About this statement
The Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) requires a statement from entities with annual consolidated revenue of more than A$100 million. Cactive Pty Ltd is well below that, so this statement is voluntary. It sets out where modern slavery risks could arise in our business and what we do about them.
Our business
Cactive Pty Ltd is an Australian proprietary company that builds and sells the Cactive software apps and services, to people and organisations, by subscription. We’re based in Australia, and we have no factories, warehouses or physical goods of our own.
Our supply chain
What we buy is mainly technology services:
- cloud hosting, storage and AI from Amazon Web Services
- payment processing from Stripe
- app distribution and notifications from Apple, Google and Expo
- other software and data services, and professional advice
- computers and phones for our team
Risks
The risk of modern slavery in our own operations is low: our own work is building and supporting software. The higher risks sit deeper in our suppliers’ chains, in the manufacture of the hardware that data centres, computers and phones are built from, and in services such as cleaning and security at facilities we don’t run.
What we do
- We buy from large, established suppliers that publish modern slavery statements of their own, such as Amazon, Apple, Google and Stripe.
- Our Supplier Code of Conduct sets what we expect of suppliers, including no forced, bonded or child labour.
- Our Whistleblower Policy protects people who report modern slavery, and our Code of Conduct sets how our people work.
- We’ll update this statement as our business and supply chain change.
