Acceptable Use Policy

This policy is part of our Terms of Use. It applies to everyone who uses Cactive, and to everything you store, send, share or ask Caity to do. Mirage has community rules of its own in the Online Safety and Community Guidelines.

Don’t use the services to create, store or share:

• child sexual exploitation or abuse material, or anything that sexualises children
• material that promotes, instructs in or incites terrorism or violent extremism
• threats, harassment, bullying, or content that promotes self-harm
• content that vilifies people because of who they are
• intimate images of someone without their consent, or sexual content where the law doesn’t allow it
• anything else that’s illegal where you are or in Australia

• Don’t impersonate a person or organisation, or mislead people about who you are.
• Don’t publish someone’s personal information to harm or intimidate them, or collect, use or share it in a way the Privacy Act or another law doesn’t allow.
• Don’t infringe copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property.
• If you use Cactive to keep records about other people, such as customers or contacts, you’re responsible for having the right to hold and use them.

• Send commercial email and texts only to people who have agreed to receive them, say who they’re from, and include a way to unsubscribe that works, as the Spam Act 2003 requires.
• Don’t send bulk unsolicited messages, chain messages or misleading content.
• Don’t run scams, phishing or fraud, or use the services to sell illegal goods or services.

• Don’t access accounts, data or systems you aren’t allowed to, or get around sign-in, limits or other controls.
• Don’t upload or spread malware, or use the services to attack other systems.
• Don’t probe, scan or test our systems for vulnerabilities, except under our Security and Vulnerability Disclosure policy.
• Don’t overload the services, scrape them, or use them in a way that harms other people’s use. Use the API and MCP server within their published limits.
• Don’t resell or sublicense the services without our agreement.

• Don’t use Caity or other AI features to create content this policy doesn’t allow.
• Don’t try to make them produce harmful instructions, get around their safeguards, or extract other people’s information.
• Don’t present AI output as a person’s own words or professional advice where that would mislead someone.

We may remove content, or restrict, suspend or close an account, as the Terms of Use set out, and we report content to the authorities where the law requires it.
