Upload anything, and keep every version of it
Drop in files and whole folders, preview them in the browser, and get back an earlier version or anything deleted in the last 30 days.
Uploads that resume
Drop files and folders onto the page, and folders keep their structure. Large files go up in parts, and an upload cut off by closing the page resumes when you pick the file again. Files can be up to 5 TB.
Previews
Images, PDFs, video, audio and text open in the browser, and photos get thumbnails. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, CSV and Markdown files open in Documents, Sheets or Slides as an editable copy.
Versions
Uploading a file whose name is already in the folder adds a new version, and the last 100 are kept. Download an earlier one, or make it current again.
The trash
Deleted items wait in the trash, with everything in them, for 30 days. Restore puts them back where they were.
And around every file
New documents
Make a blank document, spreadsheet or presentation in the folder you're in, or start one from a template.
Folders as a ZIP
Download a folder, or several items, as one ZIP of up to 10,000 files and 10 GB, made in the background.
Comments
Talk a file through in its comments. Commenters can add theirs without being able to change the file.
Photo details
See when a photo was taken, with what camera and where.
Activity
Each item's details list who changed it, and when.
Move, rename and copy
Move, rename or copy files, and copy a link to send to people with access.
